Best Strawberry And Basil Vegan Milkshake For Summer

Strawberry goes well with basil and provides a more grown up milkshake flavor. I am not a vegan but choose to use coconut milk as it provides a creamier milkshake which is also far healthier.

This recipe makes enough for two large milkshakes.

Ingredients;

• 1 can of coconut milk
• 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
• 8 leaves of fresh basil
• 2 bananas

Method;

• Empty the can of coconut milk into the jug blender, available here, scrap the lid clear of that thicker creamy coconut milk.
• Chop the bananas and add with the strawberries to the milk, add 6 of the fresh leaves of basil.
• Give it a blast until it is smooth. If you are using fresh strawberry, do add some ice cubes before serving.

Turn Your Strawberry Milkshake Into A Cocktail

Strawberry goes well with rum and you can make a cocktail to the strength that suits you. We recommend that you now use the recipe above but it will now serve four as a cocktail. Add 6 shots of rum to the blender and let your taste buds lead the way.

Strawberry is also wonderful with vodka and this vegan milkshake will take a couple of ounces of vodka being mixed in as well.

To really lift it, try making your own ice cubes using edible flowers from your herb garden!
